Residential Clean Up, Food Pantry and Decorated Fire Hydrant Project Discussed At Village Board Meeting

Jeff Cook approached the board in regards to a complaint he brought before the board a year ago regarding the condition of a residential parcel on the back yard side of his property. Food Pantry Volunteer Frank Maas told the board the Food Pantry began February 6 with fundraising efforts. They sent requests for money to 15 foundations and 30 – 40 private businesses, along with private parties. As soon as those requests hit the mail the country was placed on lock-down due to the Coronavirus. A Vibrant Hydrant Proposal was discussed next. This is a program in which the fire hydrants throughout the Village would be painted with artwork. Hildebrand said he had contacted the school administrator to possibly include art students.
