Two More Covid-19 Related Deaths In Barron County; Public Notification Alert For Potential Exposure In Turtle Lake

Barron County Health has reported two additional COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the County total to six. More than 9600 residents have been tested with 522 confirmed positive cases. 473 have recovered. As of Monday, October 5 there are 43 active cases, five of which are currently hospitalized. One resident who passed away was in their 80s while the other resident was in their 70s. Both individuals had underlying health conditions. The death of the individual in their 70s was caused by a cardiac event, but COVID-19 is believed to have contributed to the event.

On Friday, October 2 the Barron County Public Health Department alerted the public to a potential exposure that happened at J-Cool’s Bar in Turtle Lake on September 27 (11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) and September 28 (6:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. closing).
