Covid Cases Continue To Rise

     Both Barron and Polk County have seen a rise in Covid cases in the past week. Barron County has reported 12 more deaths since last week. All the individuals were all between the ages of 70-95 with underlying health conditions. Polk County also reported two more deaths within the last week, they did not release the ages of the individuals.      

     The Turtle Lake School District has also seen a rise in cases. As of Tuesday, November 10th there are 7 active cases, one elementary student, two middle school students, two high school students and two staff members. The active cases are only 1.3% of the total school population.

     Gov. Tony Evers delivered a primetime address on Tuesday, November 10th, calling for unity and working together in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. The governor’s address comes as Wisconsin had yet another record-breaking day in COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths.
