COVID-19 Cases On The Rise

Cases of COVID-19 are on the rise again. The county jumped from an average of 2 to 3 cases per week at the end of July to over 200 cases this past week. Hospitalizations are going up as well. There were 30 hospitalizations last week alone. Barron County is currently experiencing “high” levels of community transmission. Because of this everyone, regardless of vaccination status, should wear a mask when in public.

School opened this year without a mask mandate, however, this could be revisited after the first two to three weeks, depending on the circumstances.
“We are keeping up with the numbers of positive cases in the district,” Admin. Kindschy said. “As they remain low there is no talk of masks.” SEE COMPLETE STORY IN THE TIMES OR READ ONLINE WITH PAID SUBSCRIPTION
