TLHS Alum Creates Quilt To Be Used As Fundraiser

A quilt made by a 1969 graduate of Turtle Lake High School will be sold at an upcoming local quilt sale.  Kathy (Dunemann) Nannini, a former resident of Rice Lake and currently a South Carolina resident, made this beautiful quilt entitled “Bluebirds and Berries”.  This particular quilt will be sold as a fundraiser for the Turtle Lake Garden Club to beautify Turtle Lake.

Kathy is no stranger to making quilted items, having made well over 200 of them for many family members, friends, and various charities (pregnancy crisis center for new moms, local police/fire departments for children affected by fire or car accidents) over the years.

Kathy has strong ties to Turtle Lake, as her mother Ona, taught most of her years at Turtle Lake as a grade school teacher during her tenure years ago.

The quilt sale will be held on Saturday, July 9th (rain date of July 15th). The sale will run from 9 am to 5 pm at 13 S Horseshoe Lake Drive.
