Owner Ducks As Suspect Shoots From Stolen Vehicle During Chase

An arrest warrant has been issued for a 27-year old Barron man suspected in the theft of a vehicle and then shooting at the vehicle owner as he attempted to chase him down. Zakariye Dahir Ali is accused of attempted first degree reckless homicide, endangering safety by the reckless use of a firearm, operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent, receiving stolen property ($5000 – $10,000), three counts of felony bail jumping and criminal damage to property, all charges with a repeater modifier for the theft of a pickup from a Turtle Lake business and then allegedly shooting at the owner as he confronted Ali at one point during the chase.  SEE COMPLETE STORY IN THE TIMES OR READ ONLINE WITH PAID SUBSCRIPTION.
