Quilt Presented To Veteran

For a number of years now, the Almena VFW Auxiliary has had a group that made lap robes for veterans at the The Wisconsin Veterans Home of Chippewa Falls as well other veterans’ homes. Recently, the group started making quilts for veterans. One of the first recipients’ of a quilt was Randy Mitchell. Randy served in the Navy from 1988 to 1992 and was deployed twice. Randy is an ES Hull Tech 2nd Class and served on the USS New Jersey in the Persian Gulf. His second deployment was on the USS Cape Cod. Pictured is Randy with his quilt which was presented to him by Angela Gehrman, Sr. Vice to the Auxiliary.
