CATHY HAMBLE

Catherine “Cathy” (Fredrick) Hamble, age 67, of Turtle Lake, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, with her loving family by her side, and proudly walked into Heaven.
She was born on December 15, 1958, to John and Yvonne Fredrick. Cathy married the love of her life, Greg Hamble, on March 22, 1980, and together they shared 46 years of marriage. She is survived by her husband, Greg; her children, Jesse Hamble (Kristine), Amanda Karlen (Joe), and Kyle Hamble.
She was a proud and loving grandmother and is further survived by her grandchildren, Boe, Bailey, Jack, Judah, and Londyn (Jesse and Kristine), and Landon & Dayne (Amanda & Joe), all of whom she loved deeply and delighted in spoiling.
She is also survived by her sisters, Cindy (Randy) King, Terri (Kurt) Nustvold, Karen (Bob) DeGolier, and Lisa (Ron) Hanson; her brother, John (Stacia) Fredrick; and her dear friend, Denise Lindquist.
Cathy graduated from Turtle Lake High School in 1977. She and Greg built a life together centered on family, hard work, and creativity. Both worked at Andersen Windows before starting their own crafting business, Humble Crafts, where they built and sold wood creations at craft shows throughout the Midwest.
Cathy was a fighter, courageously walking through multiple sclerosis and other health challenges throughout her life. Through it all, she continued to create, care for others, and live with strength and determination.
She loved camping at Baypark in Trego during the late 1990s, where so many memories were made with family and friends. Cathy was known as a master fish cleaner, an avid bowler, and someone who could light up a dance floor—winning competitions at the Hotel Bar and Grill. While she never got a deer, she truly loved deer hunting. She also had a deep love for animals and enjoyed cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers.
Cathy also found joy in gardening, especially tending to her flower beds. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply and never missed a chance to spoil them. She was a musician and cherished those camping years. Above all, Cathy had a strong and steady faith in God, which guided her life and gave her peace, strength, and confidence in what was to come.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Yvonne Fredrick; her father-in-law, Warren Hamble; and her granddaughter, Kaydence Yvonne.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Regions Hospital in St. Paul for the compassionate care they provided during Cathy’s final weeks. A special thank you as well to Elizabeth Hall and Gail Torgerson for their care, support, and friendship.
A celebration of Cathy’s life will be held on June 20 in Chetek, Wisconsin.
