Stepping Back In Time

The above photo was sent in by Denise Patzer (Leisz). It was taken in 1944 and is the Creamery office. The location also served as a bank, realty office and is presently the Random Stuff Store on the corner of Maple Street S. and Railway Avenue. Notice the WWII star banner in the window. People who had sons or daughters in the service could display a star in a window, but it is unknown what this one is about. Pictured are, left to right: Gladys (Leisz) Wick, Jane Meyer, Margie Barett and Ron Fischer.
The GTLAA is still looking for old photos. Some have been received but more are needed, especially old Turtle Lake town and farming photos. If anyone has old photos or negatives and wants them included in the upcoming history book, now is the time to get them in. They can be scanned so you can have the originals back. Please contact Dave Skrupky (dskrupky@centurytel.net) or Dave Slack (halcopress@yahoo.com) to scan your history photo.
