Shella Olsvig Participates In State Spelling Bee

All Turtle Lake 4th and 5th graders participated in a written classroom spelling bee on January 30th and 31, 2020. The school district spelling bee was held on Wednesday, February 5th. Nine elementary students and ten middle school students participated in the district bee. Shella Olsvig, 5th grader, won the district bee and participated in the Regional Spelling Bee at CESA 11 on February 12, 2020. She came in third out of nineteen participants from the CESA 11 Northern Region and was an alternate for the Wisconsin State Spelling Bee. Shella was able to participate in the Wisconsin State Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 7, 2020 in Madison, WI. She came in twentieth out of forty eight participants. Five hundred eighty four schools in Wisconsin  participated in the Scripps Spelling Bee competition this year
