Still Looking For Vintage Photos
Pictured is “Boots” LaBlanc standing on a road grader. It is estimated the photo was taken in the summer of 1957. “Boots” was a longtime employee of the Town of Turtle Lake, employed for 42 years (1956 until his death in 1998). If you have any old-tyme photos or negatives you would like to see published in the upcoming history photo book the GTLAA is still looking for pictures that could be used. Some have been received but more are needed, especially old Turtle Lake town and farming photos. They can be scanned so you can have the originals back. Please contact Dave Skrupky or Dave Slack to scan your history photo. Information regarding the above picture can be sent to halcopress@yahoo.com or call 715-986-4675.
