Covid Cases Continue To Decline
Covid-19 cases continue to be on the decline according to the Barron County Health Department. While total positive cases number 12,762, there have only been 23 new cases in the past week. 97% of the positive cases have recovered and there has been 132 deaths. 24,980 residents (55%) have received at least on dose of vaccine. Of the new cases, 6 of them were ages 60-79. Another 6 were ages 40-59. Five cases were 19-39, four were 18 and under with two age 80+ . Since January 24, when cases numbered 583, positive cases have been on a steacy decline. On February 7 the number was 167. New weekly cases dropped to 84 on February 21 and 49 a week ago. Due to the steady decline, Barron County’s risk level has dropped to accelerated spread. Much of the state has seen their risk level fall to community spread.
